Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Tastyer mobile application (“App”) or the web app at tastyer.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Tastyer is a recipe transformation application that allows you to:

• Paste a recipe URL to receive a healthier version with macro comparisons
• View ingredient swap highlights and nutritional information
• Save recipes to your personal library
• Build grocery lists from your saved recipes
• Participate in nutrition quizzes and challenges

3. AI-Generated Content

Tastyer uses artificial intelligence to generate healthier recipe alternatives. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional nutritional or medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant dietary changes.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated nutritional information, macro calculations, or recipe modifications.

4. User Accounts

You may create an account using email/password or third-party sign-in providers (Google, Apple). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

5. Subscriptions (Tastyer Pro)

Tastyer has a free tier and an optional paid subscription, Tastyer Pro. What Pro includes is described where you buy it; today that is unlimited AI scans and recipe transforms (subject to fair use), and calorie and macro targets that adapt every week. Pro belongs to your Tastyer account, so it works in the App and on the web app wherever you bought it.

Prices

Prices are shown before you buy and include VAT where it applies. App Store prices are set per country through Apple and may be shown in your local currency.

Automatic renewal

• Pro is billed yearly or monthly and renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price that applies then, until you cancel.
• App Store: payment is charged to your Apple ID. If the yearly plan comes with a free trial, it converts to a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
• Web: payment is processed by Mollie B.V. You pay the first period when you subscribe; renewals are charged to the payment method you authorised (card, or SEPA Direct Debit, including a mandate set up through iDEAL). There is no free trial on the web.

Cancelling

• App Store: in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Deleting the App or your Tastyer account does not cancel an App Store subscription.
• Web: on tastyer.com under Account → Subscription, or by emailing support@tastyer.com.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You keep Pro until then, and the subscription does not renew.

Refunds and your right of withdrawal

• App Store purchasesare processed by Apple, and refunds for them are requested from Apple under Apple's terms. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.
• Web purchases: as a consumer in the EU you have a 14-day right of withdrawal, starting on the day you buy. At checkout you ask us to start your subscription straight away. If you withdraw within the 14 days, email support@tastyer.com; we end Pro and refund what you paid, minus the days you already used, within 14 days, to the same payment method.
• If something went wrong — for example you were charged twice, or a technical problem kept you from using Pro — email support@tastyer.com and we will put it right. None of this limits your statutory rights.

Price changes

We may change Pro's price for future billing periods. We will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription, by email or in the App, and you can cancel before it takes effect. For App Store subscriptions, Apple also notifies you and, where its rules require it, asks for your consent.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or other users' accounts
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure

7. Intellectual Property

Original recipe content is sourced from third-party websites. Tastyer stores only ingredient lists and links back to original sources for cooking instructions. The healthier recipe transformations generated by our AI are provided to you for personal, non-commercial use.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, and image providers (Pexels, Wikipedia). Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) and Mollie B.V. (web). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tastyer and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to damages related to dietary decisions made based on AI-generated content.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the App.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings.
